The Shays Project Clitheroe
At this mature property close to Clitheroe town centre, we transformed an unused area of a front garden into a welcoming landscape. I chose elegant Ascot cobbles to create flowing pathways and complimented these with timber planters, constructed using sustainable French Oak. We created a wave shaped flower bed using indian sandstone blocks to mirror the pathway leading to a private seating area. The area was infilled with golden gravel and the planting included a Portuguese Laurel hedge and a selection of flowering perennials.

The Oaktree Project Clitheroe
A new build property on the outskirts of Clitheroe, we had a blank canvas to transform into a beautifully crafted outdoor living space. This design features premium Raj Indian sandstone laid in clean linear lines creating a timeless and elegant entertaining area around the property.
To soften the space and create warmth we built a bespoke curved French Oak planter highlighted with floor-level spotlights bringing the natural character and flow to the garden while framing the patio perfectly.
The planting scheme combines ornamental grasses and English cottage-style perennials to add movement, colour and texture throughout the seasons

Laurel Row - Barrow
This garden transformation brings together natural Kandla Grey sandstone paving, warm Cotswold gravel and a fresh new lawn framed by curved sett edging. A stepping-stone path links the patio and garden, while raised timber planters provide space for seasonal colour. The soft curves and complementary materials create a welcoming outdoor space with clearly defined areas for relaxing and planting, making the most of the garden.
The Malkin project Clitheroe
For this project, located on the Waddow Heights development on the outskits of Clitheroe, we completely reimagined this space to create a functional and elegant outdoor living area. A Beautifully laid Indian sandstone patio now provides a generous entertaining space, complimented by a sweeping curved edge that softens the layout and leads seamlessly into the lawn.
The bespoke French Oak sleeper retaining detail and planting borders bring structure and warmth, while the fresh turf and stepping stone pathway guide you through to the pergola seating area - creating a perfect focal point at the end of the garden.
A beautiful rainbow Indian sandstone spherical water feature finishes this design perfectly and creates a feeling of peace and tranquility.

Shipton Road Project (Small Garden Redesign)
This compact garden was completely redesigned to turn a simple lawn into a thoughtfully and imaginatively designed outdoor space with much more character, colour and year-round interest. A new natural sandstone patio provides a generous area for outdoor seating, while sweeping curves lead into a warm gravel garden and create space for substantial new planting. Carefully selected shrubs, perennials, architectural plants and a beautiful Japanese maple and a Lacy Lady tree as a central feature bring colour, texture and varying heights to the borders, complemented by structural specimen plants positioned against the stone wall. The combination of natural stone, gravel, curved detailing and layered planting demonstrates how even a relatively small garden can be transformed into a distinctive, inviting space that feels both established and individual. Finished with carefully positioned spike lighting to create a lovely atmosphere late into the evening.

Meadow View Project Clitheroe
This garden in the Low Moor area had great potential, but the existing layout made the space feel smaller than it really was. Raised brick planters, narrow pathways and tired paving divided the garden into separate areas, restricting how it could be enjoyed.
By reimagining the layout, we created a generous raised Indian sandstone terrace that immediately opens up the garden and provides a natural extension of the home. New retaining walls, improved drainage, a practical side access path and refreshed planting have transformed the space into a light, elegant garden that's far easier to use, entertain in and maintain.
The result is a garden that feels significantly larger, calmer and much more inviting—designed to be enjoyed for many years to come.

All of these areas were in a shocking state, due to the fact that they had not been well-maintained by the previous owners of the house. Clitheroe
The Denbigh Project (front and back gardens)
The front and back gardens at this bungalow off Chatburn Road in Clitheroe were completely redesigned to create a low-maintenance, stylish landscapes with year round structure.
At the front the existing lawn and overgrown planting were replaced with a spacious decorative gravel garden, framed by attractuve sandstone coloured walling and timber edging. Curved planting islands were introduced to soften the design, providing focal points and opportunities for seasonal colour and texture throughout the year. A feature rockery was incorporated while specimen plants, ornamental grasses and evergreens were carefully positioned to give the garden a balanced and contemporary feel.
To the back we removed the turf and built a stylish curved patio area using Kandla grey sandstone flags which we edged with tumbled cobbles. We added planters using timber sleepers which we planted with Portuguese Laurels and perennial shrubs and finally installed a new small lawned area.
